The Perfect German Language Academy is a licensed telc examination center. You can register with us for the telc Deutsch B2 language test within the registration deadline. In addition, Perfekt Deutsch offers B2 intensive courses, B2 evening courses and telc B2 crash courses for participants who want to take the telc Deutsch B2 language test.

When do I have to be in the Perfect German Examination Center on the day of the exam and what do I have to bring with me?
After you have registered for the telc exam, you will receive a detailed schedule by email a few days before the exam.
IMPORTANT: Keep the whole day free!
- Please come to school on time on the day of the exam.
- You must have your photo ID or passport with you.

Who is the telc B2 exam for?
The telc B2 exam checks language skills at level B2 and is aimed at anyone who has general knowledge of German at an advanced level and who would like to obtain proof of language skills for training or a job. Many employers and educational institutions require the telc B2 certificate as proof of German language skills.

What is the telc B2 exam?
The telc B2 exam is an internationally recognized language test.

How is the telc Deutsch B2 language test structured?
The telc B2 exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 2 hours and 20 minutes.
- Reading comprehension and language modules (grammar, vocabulary, spelling): 90 minutes
- Listening comprehension: 20 minutes
- Written expression: 30 minutes
The oral exam lasts approx. 16-21 minutes (after 20 minutes of preparation) and usually takes place on the same day.

Can I use a dictionary with telc Deutsch B2?
No.

How is the exam graded?
The exam is passed if at least 60% are achieved in both the written and the oral part. That means you have to achieve at least 180 points. This corresponds to 135 points in the written test and 45 points in the oral test.

When and how will I receive my telc certificate?
You will usually receive your certificate approximately 4–6 weeks after the exam date, once the evaluation by telc has been completed.
The certificate will be provided digitally as a PDF by e-mail. You can save it, forward it or print it out if needed. -
How long is my telc certificate valid?
Your certificate for a passed telc exam is valid indefinitely.

Can I repeat the exam?
Yes. You can retake the telc B2 exam as many times as you wish.
If you have only failed the oral exam or only the written exam (subtests 1–4), you only need to retake the respective part of the exam.
