The language institute Perfekt Deutsch, offers C1&DSH-Preparation Courses regularly.
1. DSH at our Partner Universities
Perfekt Deutsch registers its students, who successfully passed the C1&DSH-Preparation Course, for the DSH at specific Universities in Germany. University Acceptance is NOT necessary. All German Universities and Colleges recognize the DSH-Certificate.
For the registration to the DSH Test through perfekt.deutsch you will need:
- the C1-Certificate from the language school perfekt.deutsch
- University Acceptance is NOT necessary
2. DSH Test at TU Dortmund
The candidates who have passed „ C1 & DSH Preparatory Course“ and possess a valid admission letter of TU Dortmund can apply for DSH Examination at TU Dortmund. The DSH Certificate of TU Dortmund is acceptable by all the universities of Germany.

General Information about DSH
The DHS, the ”Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang/German Language Exam for Admission to Higher Education”, is an exam with state recognition which qualifies to take up study at a German university. It consists of an oral and a written section.
The written exam encompasses the following tasks:
- to comprehend and to handle an audio text
- to comprehend and to handle a reading text
- to comprehend and to handle structures of academic language
- to produce a text following given specifications
The oral exam is supposed to demonstrate the skill to adequately execute actions that are relevant for academic studies such as arguing, evaluating, providing information etc. Furthermore, the exam candidate needs to prove that s/he is capable of reacting appropriately in a conversation about facts and circumstances that are relevant to academic studies.
To pass the written section with a minimum of 57% (DSH 1) is the prerequisite for participating in the oral exam. For most academic disciplines the required result is a minimum of 66.6% (DSH 2). Certain academic disciplines demand a result of 82% (DSH 3).
